According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, on a National level, employers added 224,000 jobs in June. Of the 224,000 jobs added, 17,000 were created in the manufacturing sector which followed a strong run of an average of 22,000 manufacturing jobs added every month in 2018. Growth at the state level has been uneven, but has been concentrated in Michigan and the greater Midwest which have experienced roughly 6% growth in manufacturing jobs since November of 2016.
